PSX: KSE 100 Index goes up by 155 points despite lower volumes


Pakistan Stock Exchange or PSX observed the positive trend by investors as KSE 100 Index increased during trading.

KSE 100 Index has seen the rise of 155.31 points (0.38%) as it closed at 40,420 points. In total, 68.0171 million shares were traded. However, during the trading, the value of shares was Rs 3.932 billion.

Among 322 companies, share prices of 142 companies recorded decline while 162 companies observed raise in their share prices. However, share prices of 18 companies remained same during trading.

The volume leader was PIAA with 15.24 million shares. It gained Rs 0.81 to close at Rs 6.46 per share. However, TRG Insurance Solution remained the runner up with 7.941 million shares traded during the day and its price also increased by Rs 0.37 per share to close at Rs 26.45 followed by Fauji food Limited whose trading volume was recorded at 6.032 million shares. The price per share also fall by Rs 0.84 and reached at Rs 34.68.
