FBR Transfer/Posting 2025: Big Transfers in BPS-17 to BPS-21 Ranks – Who’s In, Who’s Out?

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) approved a fresh round of transfers and postings for BS-17, BS-18, and BS-21 officers. The department is currently finalizing postings for officers in other grades. FBR launched this reshuffle to realign field formations and boost national revenue collection.

The authorities expect to rotate officers across departments such as audit, enforcement, and taxpayer facilitation, as well as different geographical areas. The organization aims to improve the scope of operations and redistribute resources more effectively through this decision.

FBR has selected its officers, to transfer them, based on their past performance and overall contributions as per the internal evaluation of FBR. This kind of merit-based rotation, states the board, would serve the purpose of proving the experienced officers high-revenue zones and break the long-term postings that can breed stagnation within a certain formation.

The FBR confirmed that the reshuffling is aligned with its institutional goals to improve revenue performance, compliance, and taxpayer services. It also reflects the intent to balance the distribution of officers at the field level.

Complete logistical support will be provided to the officers so that there is minimal disruption during relocation. FBR has made a commitment to offer all assistance required by the employee in terms of both administrative and operational support in the new postings.
