US-based technology company Mobiz has opened its regional office in Karachi, marking an important development for Pakistan’s technology sector.
Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu, said that Mobiz’s entry into Pakistan is a significant step for the country’s technology industry.
Mobiz Expands Technology Services in Pakistan
Mobiz is a Pakistani-owned technology company headquartered in Silicon Valley, United States. The company has established its regional office at the NASSCOM Technology Park on Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi.
Mobiz provides cloud, data, artificial intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity services in various countries around the world.
Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu said that Pakistan’s talented youth have the potential to play a prominent role in the global IT market. He added that the expansion of international technology companies into Pakistan reflects growing confidence in the country’s IT talent.
According to the SECP chairman, Pakistan has significant opportunities to become a regional technology and global services hub. He said the SECP is working to facilitate businesses through greater transparency, digitalization, and regulatory reforms.
He further stated that the adoption of modern technology can help reduce business costs and processing times while improving transparency and efficiency.
The investment and expansion of global IT companies in Pakistan are also expected to create new employment opportunities for young people and enable Pakistani professionals to access more opportunities in international markets.
